Fast Cat now Serves Bohol to Opol via Camiguin

Fast Cat’s M2 Ferry Catamaran now serves a new route. From Jagna, Bohol to Opol, Misamis Oriental via Balbagon, Camiguin. It’s maiden voyage started today 21st of March. They departed Jagna, Bohol at around 12-1pm and arrived Balbagon Port in Mambajao, Camiguin at around 3pm. After disembarking, craft servicing and boarding, they left Balbagon at around 4pm. Finally arrived Opol at around 8pm.

Fast Cat M2 docked at Opol Pier

This fast craft is the biggest inter-island ferry is ever seen so far. This vessel can accommodate around 30-34 sedans PLUS 7-10 buses/trucks more. As for the passengers, it can handle 275 passengers which is divided into three accommodation classes: economy which is an open air al fresco accommodation on the top deck; premium economy; and business class. The last two classes are on the middle deck and both air-conditioned.

Rolling Cargo Deck

Business Class Accommodation

Premium Economy Accommodation and Galley

Economy Class Accommodation in an open air (al fresco) area

To celebrate this milestone, Fast Cat offered FREE ride to the first 5 passengers on each class and first 2 on light vehicles/SUV/Sedan on this maiden voyage. A friend of my wife got lucky to be one (well, make that a couple and a baby German shepherd) of who got free ride.

The Fast Cat terminal in Opol is located to what is known as Opol Fish Port. From CDO, that’s after Panagatan then turn right after Petron Station. Ticket prices starts at 570 pesos (Opol to Camiguin one way) plus a terminal fee (sold separately). BUT I heard that they will offer a 50% off on their rates as a special promo. So, lets ride and try Fast Cat na…hmmm, come to think of it, years back, I wanted to go to Jagna instead of Tagbilaran, I just cant recall why.
