Apple Tree Resort and Hotel's 3rd Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony

Apple Tree Resort and Hotel (ATRH), Misamis Oriental's and Metro CdeO's Premier Resort and Hotel, held its 3rd Christmas tree lighting ceremony last December 1st. The event started with a (catholic) Holy Mass then a VTR of their employees sharing their most memorable Christmas memory. Ms. Bjanesha Manigsaca Emphasis, ATRH General Manager shared thru her opening remarks the value of women not only during Christmas season but also in our lifetime. At the end of her speech, the ATRH Christmas tree was unveiled while selected employee render a dance 'salute' to women.

ATRH theme for this year's yuletide season is "empowering women" as they advocates the stop of violence on women and children. Their tree is composed of four clustered tree that resembles a skirt and on top of each tree is a lighted mannequin covered in lace.

For me, their tree tell me that the women is the star not only for this yuletide season but also in our life time. Women are our guiding light in our darkness (night). I also reflected the role of women in my life: my mom who raised me into a man i am today; my sisters that taught me to understand and respect other women, my aunts who taught me how to become a family man, and of course my wife who help me in every step in our married life. They really deserve a "salute".

Cebu Pacific Received its First ATR 72-600 High Capacity Aircraft

The Philippines’ leading carrier, Cebu Pacific Air (PSE: CEB), yesterday took delivery of the very first ATR 72-600 High Capacity aircraft at an event in Toulouse, France. The delivery is the first of a US$673-million order of 16 aircraft that was placed at the 2015 Paris Airshow, which also includes an option to acquire additional ten more planes.

Photo Taken from Cebu Pacific Air's Official Facebook Page

The new ATR 72-600 which will be operated by Cebgo, the wholly owned subsidiary of CEB, features advanced avionics, enhanced performance in hot and high environments and increased cabin space along with additional seating capacity. The additional seating capacity will help further lower unit seat costs enabling CEB to pass on the benefits through lower fares to its customers.

CEB will progressively replace its current fleet of eight ATR 72-500s – which are configured with 72 seats – with the fleet of 16 new ATR 72-600s, with 78 seats. Deliveries of the ATR 72-600s will run until 2020. The airline is modernizing its fleet with the most popular regional aircraft to substantially expand its route network and frequencies across the archipelago and continue to support the growing Philippine economy. In a particularly competitive environment, the new high capacity ATR72-600s will help the airline reduce its fleet’s fuel consumption and cost per seat while answering the growing demand for inter-island connectivity.

Commenting on this major delivery, Lance Gokongwei, President and CEO of Cebu Pacific Air declared: “We are honored to be the launch operator of the largest-capacity configuration of the ATR 72-600. These aircraft will enable us to provide the most modern standards of comfort and even more competitive fares to our guests, while expanding our inter-island network. The opening of new routes and destinations will help strengthen links between local communities and encourage more business and tourism opportunities. The Required Navigation Performance-Authorization Required (RNP AR) and Vertical Navigation (VNAV) capability of our new ATR 72-600 fleet will further increase airfield access, benefiting the economies of remote provinces, as well as facilitating more efficient air traffic management.”

Patrick de Castelbajac, Chief Executive Officer of ATR, commented: “The ATR 72-600 is particularly successful in South East Asia as it offers the optimal answer for regional travel, in terms of both operating costs and passenger experience. The new high capacity option is particularly adapted to the operational needs of a successful low-cost carrier in this part of the world. We look forward to see our first 78-seater fly with one of the fastest-growing carriers, Cebu Pacific. ”

ATR has some 380 aircraft operating in Asia-Pacific in the liveries of over 60 airlines. In recent years, Asia-Pacific has become the world region with the largest number of ATR aircraft in operation. ATR estimates demand for some 750 turboprops in this region within the next two decades.

CEB offers flights to 36 domestic and 30 international destinations, covering an extensive network that spans Asia, Australia, and the Middle East. Its 56-strong fleet is comprised of six Airbus A319, 36 Airbus A320, six Airbus A330, and eight ATR 72-500 aircraft. Between 2016 and 2021, CEB expects delivery of 32 Airbus A321neo, two Airbus A330, and 16 ATR 72-600 aircraft.

For bookings and inquiries, guests can visit www.cebupacificair.com or call the reservation hotlines (+632)7020-888 or (+6332)230-8888. The latest seat sales can be found on CEB’s official Twitter (@CebuPacificAir) and Facebook pages.

S&R Cagayan de Oro's Newest Hit of the City

When rumors of an S&R branch will be put up here in Cagayan de Oro, it spread like wildfire. People cant help to think and speculate where and when it will be materialized. Others even said it will be put up in an uptown area. Rumors was then put into halt when banners was seen in Barangay Kauswagan where a blue fence and make shift office from a couple of container vans was installed. At last! S&R is now in CdeO. after which, people filled their membership for the much awaited opening of store. Come July 28 2016, the store opened its doors for the first sale.

We can see that it was a HUGE success! Shoppers have two ways to enjoy their shopping experience: first, is the low price products. Not just same - used to - products but products of the best quality from local produce, fresh ready to eat meals and imported items. Speaking of fresh ready to eat meals, the second way of enjoying the S&R shopping is the S&R food service.

People even call it the "Newest Pizza Craze". Aside from the pizza, diners also crave for the Southern fried chicken and the clam chowder.

as for me and for this blog, let me say Congratulations S&R CdeO! thank you for the lowest prices and great deals and most of all, for employing Kagayan-ons workforce and local suppliers in the region.

Are you a member now? if not yet, then just proceed to the Membership Counter upon entering the store. Please present your two valid, membership payment of 700 pesos for the Gold Members OR 900 pesos for Business Members. Extension cards is 400 pesos per extension. Meet the Nest Squad

Im so glad that i won a seat for the Meet and Greet of the Nest Squad - Brand ambassadresses of The nest - namely: Ms. Camille Co, Ms. Nicole Anderson, Ms. Vern and Ms. Vernice Enciso and Ms. Laureen Uy.

Of course yours truly is a foodie and not into fashion and beauty that is why I am somewhat a bit lost into the conversation BUT we do a have in common, we love to travel. If you see their Instagram accounts they share both fashion & beauty and their travels. I do not envy their fashion statements but I do envy their travel experiences.

The Nest is one of the "go to" places here in Cagayan de Oro. Located along Corrales street. It houses three food places: Maison de bonbon which specializes French food; Giuseppe which specializes about pizza and Italian roast; and the 3rd one is upcoming. I heard its a pub.

Softly opened last 18th of June and (barely a month after) on 23rd of July they grandly opened with a bang with this meet and greet and a VIP night.

For more info about the Nest, visit their Official Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/TheNestCDO/home

Enjoy the best of the Pokemon GO worldwide craze with freenet and PayMaya

Filipinos keenly anticipating the launch of Pokemon GO can now stay updated on the upcoming release of the game in the Philippines and fully enjoy the game when it launches with the help of Freenet and PayMaya.

my PokemonGo

Now a certified worldwide phenomenon, Pokemon GO is a location-based mobile game developed by Niantic Labs in partnership with Nintendo affiliate The Pokemon Company. The mobile game allows players to catch Pokemon or "pocket monsters" as if in real life using the GPS and camera of their smartphones.

The game is currently available in Australia, New Zealand, USA, UK, and select European countries. It has yet to launch in any Asian country, including Japan where the original Pokemon game originated.

Get Pokemon GO updates with freenet
Those who want to stay updated on news about the upcoming release of the game in the Philippines may now download the freenet app on the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store. Through freenet, Smart, TNT, and Sun subscribers will be able to read the latest news and social media feeds from the local Pokemon GO community for free and with no data charges.

This is part of freenet’s mission to enable communities such as those who are eager to play Pokemon GO to stay active and participate in various activities and discussions through digital means.

This follows the successful live streaming of President Rodrigo Duterte’s inauguration and the Gilas Pilipinas FIBA Olympic Qualifying Tournament games through freenet, which allowed Filipinos to be digitally present in these historic events even if they are not physically able to do so.
Purchase Pokecoins with PayMaya.

Meanwhile, once the Pokemon GO app launches in the Philippines, players will be able to fully enjoy the game through in-app purchases with the help of PayMaya, the easiest way to pay online even without a credit card.

Players only have to download the PayMaya app on the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store, load up their accounts with at least P60 to cover the standard app store verification fee, and link their virtual VISA card to their app store accounts to be able to make in-app purchases for Pokecoins, the in-app currency used inside the Pokemon GO game.

With the help of Pokecoins, players will be able to purchase various items that will help them easily navigate the game, such as Pokeballs to catch Pokemon with, Pokemon eggs that allow them to “hatch” Pokemon, Potions to restore the health of their Pokemon, and Incense and Lure Modules that make it easy to attract wild Pokemon to their immediate vicinity.

In-app purchases are made more convenient with PayMaya as mobile game players can easily load up at any of the over 15,000 PayMaya reloading stations nationwide that include SM Malls Business Centers, Robinsons Department Stores, Bayad Centers, 7-Eleven stores with Cliqq kiosks, TouchPay Kiosks, and Smart Padala Centers, on top of online banking via BDO.

Aside from the mobile app, PayMaya customers can also opt to have their own PayMaya physical prepaid card which can be used in brick-and-mortar stores worldwide that accept Visa. A variant also comes with its own beep™ wallet, allowing users to ride the MRT, LRT, some city buses and other beep™-powered transportation for their daily commute, so they can easily explore the city in search of wild Pokemon.

Users who upgrade their PayMaya account can use their PayMaya for peer-to-peer money transfers and ATM withdrawals.

For more information about PayMaya and how users can get their own PayMaya card, visit www.paymaya.com. To know more about the free and fun way to connect through freenet, visit www.freenet.ph.

S & R Cagayan de Oro Opens on July 28

Yes folks! In just a week the much awaited opening of S&R Membership Shopping Center. S&R is located along Kauswagan Highway in front of RMTI depot just before Bulua Market.

My First S&R experience was way back 2014, when wife and I, together with her brother and his family, traveled to Bantayan Island. When we came back to Cebu City we had dinner in S&R wherein borther-in-law is a member.

What did we had? Well, after the nieces toured us on the shopping floor and tricked us to go to the cold produce storage. (the nieces are laughing out loud when they seen our foggy breath) we shared fast food that S&R is known for:

Pepperoni New York Style Pizza;

Scoops of Ice cream, If I remember it right thats Chocolate, Strawberry and Coffee flavors. Blue Bunny Brand.

Grilled Chicken (and Southern style Chicken, sorry no photo of this, niece is so hungry she ate it as soon as we opened the box). D### those chicken pieces are so big.

and of course my personal favorite, bottomless drinks.

Are you a member yet? Well if not, please do so. All you need is to present two valid IDs, filled up form and personally go to the store for photo capture. You can get your membership ID right away. As for the fees, Gold Membership is 700 and 400 pesos for its extension. Business Membership is 900 pesos and 400 pesos for the extension. Membership is good for one year.

Besides for the fast food area, I’m also looking forward to the low priced items. Some items can only be seen in S&R that is why being a member is a good bargain. When I filled my membership, the clerk also said to me that they will also have a car care center.

So folks, see you in S&R on the 28th. Doors opens at 10 in the morning.

Photo above is their "green chair" section with a rate of 20 pesos per hour. The "black chair" have a rate of 15 pesos per hour (photo below). They also have a VIP room that cost 50 pesos per hour.

Greenwich Pizzeria and the new Greenwich Bacon Pizza

Greenwich, the nation's one of the best pizza chain is having a major renovation - aesthetically. It is called "Pizzeria", wherein dining guest will experience an Italian pizzeria atmosphere and ambiance. Balcony, earth tones and of course, authentic Italian pizza fresh from a pizzeria oven.

SM City Cagayan de Oro is the first Greenwich Pizzeria store here in Mindanao. Other branches will soon follow. So please bear with the management if your next favorite branch will close for a moment for the said renovations.

In light with this renovation, Greenwich is also glad to inform the public that they a new pizza flavor, the Bacon Crispy Thins. Cheese, lots of bacon in a their signature crust.

Even though that it's called "crispy thins" it is also be available in thick crust. Personally, i like the thick crust more because it balances the rich toppings of bacon and cheese. The advantage of having it on thin crust, for me, is that you can enjoy the toppings fully and that "crunch" sounds makes it more appetizing and asking for me. Goodbye diet for sure.

Price starts at 220 pesos (double thin crust) for a limited time only. So dine now at Greenwich for that ultimate overloaded barkada bonding.

Primavera City Launched

If you can recall, I made some articles regarding this green condominium project that will stand in the heart of Uptown CdeO and it will be named “Primavera City”.

The grand launch was held in Pueblo Golf Clubhouse last 24th of June 2016. Witnessed by different stakeholders, agent brokers, investors, Italpinas Development Corporation employees, Media Practitioners and other beloved friends.

Primavera City, if I am not mistaken, will have seven (7) towers to be built in two (2) phases: phase one will be the two towers then the remaining 4 towers and its high rise hotel will soon follow.

That night, the scale model of Primavera City was unveiled and introduced to all the future plans. Mr. Sean Oliver Moreno, son of the beloved Mayor of this City, compared uptown CdeO to a balcony of a cinema. Wherein the best seat in a cinema is on the balcony (upper part) and that's uptown, the best seat of this city.

Primavera City will be a mixed used high raised condominium complete with retail shops of all kinds. It is near a good shopping mall and of course, easy transport system. Unit area starts at 29 sq. meters up to 60 sq. meter.

World class amenities with an amazing view of the bay awaits for all Primavera City residents: Sky Garden; Sky Pool; Gym; Playground; Function Halls and Sauna. Since it is a mixed-used building, retail shops and offices are also in store. come to think of it, your workplace is just a few floors below your residential unit.

To know more details of the units head to Primavera office on the second floor of Primavera Residences. Believe me owning a Primavera unit is money worth investing for.

For what I heard, Primavera City will be built in 3 stages and it will break grounds few weeks after this launching.

In a few days we will share to you more so pls do stay tune.

There’s a lot of happy-nings in uptown CdeO. Growth is so fast, I am acknowledging that sooner or later this post will somehow be outdated. So, as of this press time, let me share to you whats new and whats hot in Uptown CdeO.

I asked around what is their meaning or where is Uptown CdeO. The most frequent answer is “the area from a Hotel’s Golf Course to a major Mall. According to the maps, they are referring to the area of called “pueblo township” that within the zones of Upper Brgy. Carmen and Upper Brgy. Balulang just before Brgy. Lumbia.

Commercial Zone

Many consumer establishments are now sprouting and keep on going by the numbers. Food stalls such as fast food, restaurants and convenience stores are always filled specially in the evenings.

Nearby barangays and Bukidnon towns are agricultural bowls that is why we can see trucks and stalls for fruits and vegetables along the road.

Automotive and motorcycle dealership are also not far behind. Gas stations and auto care shops are ever ready to assist both public and private vehicles.

Hotels and Condotels are also uprising. They cater tourist who wanted some fresh air in the uplands for more relaxing stay. As for the locals, they entertain and house their family guests here, but for some, they stay in for a break on their busy lifestyle.

As of now, only one major mall dominates the scene of commercialization. They have retail shops, department store, DIY shop, cinemas and among others. They really live to their motto “we got it all for you”.

Banking and Finance

As far as I remember, they are two unibanks in Uptown CdeO. One in the mall and the other one has its own building. Other banks just placed an off-site ATM in the mall both inside and on the main entrance parking lot. For sure other banks will establish their own buildings in the future.

Residential Areas and Its Amenities

Uptown CdeO is primarily intended for Residential Zones: socialized housing, exclusive estates, upper and middle class subdivisions. If there’s a residential area, schools and house of worship also follows.

On my count, Uptown CdeO has about three private basic education schools, one university campus and one public grade school. Not counting the tutorial schools and day care centers in every subdivision.

Religious groups and sects also established their house of worship around Uptown CdeO.

Upcoming and soon to Rise

What people are looking forward is the establishments of additional to go to places. That is why people are now excited to see the rise of the new mix use condominium complex that will break ground in the upcoming days.

People are not only just excited to see what’s behind that steel fence but they are eager to invest to said mix use condominium. As the name posted in the fences it will be called Primavera City.

In the upcoming day, ill post some of its developments as it grows for ground to top. So please stay tuned.
